BMW 7 Series

For the 2023 model year, the 7 Series received a complete redesign.

Aerodynamic angles and meticulous craftsmanship make for a smooth handling ride, even over rough roads.

A swanky sea of high-end materials, elegant wood trim, and advanced technology envelope the cabin. Increased rear legroom and headroom enhance the limousine-like feel for rear-seat passengers.

The new BMW 7 Series also offers two trims: 740i Sedan and 760i xDrive Plug-In Hybrid.

Performance and Efficiency

All Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series engines feature a mild hybrid system supported by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class features a Hybrid Integrated Starter-Generator, an innovative system that electrifies the inline-6 gasoline engine. Teamed with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery, the system can supply power to components that are usually driven by belts, like the air-conditioning compressor and water pump. The electric assist is also capable of generating bursts of gas-free power and torque for immediate response. The system also recaptures energy during deceleration.

Handling

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class features AIRMATIC® air suspension that uses electronic air springs to adapt to changes in driving conditions. At high speeds, it will also automatically lower the Mercedes-Benz S-Class ride height for improved aerodynamics, stability, and efficiency.

The Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC® all-wheel drive (AWD) system comes standard on all Mercedes-Benz S-Class models.

The BMW 740i is rear-wheel-drive (RWD), while the 760i is fitted with the xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive (AWD) powertrain.

Efficiency

Mercedes-Benz S-Class fuel economy comes in at 21 city / 30 highway mpg* for the 500 4MATIC® and 16 city / 25 highway mpg* for the 580 4MATIC®.

For added efficiency, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is built with a fuel-saving ECO Start/Stop system. Whenever the vehicle idles or sits at a stoplight, the system shuts off the engine. When pressure is taken off the brake, the engine restarts instantly and can accelerate immediately.

BMW 7 Series fuel economy is an impressive 25 city / 31 highway mpg* for the 740i and 18 city / 26 highway mpg* for the 760i.

Available in mid-2023, BMW will offer an all-electric model, the i7 xDrive60. The i7 is engineered with the latest BMW eDrive technology and will offer a 318-mile electric range.

A more intuitive touch experience is driven by pressure-sensitive responses and haptic feedback.
